The pictures on this page are from a beautiful November wedding that I did all the attendant jewelry for. The bride had exquisite taste and allowed the attendants to choose the style of their gowns in the chocolate brown crepe fabric she had preselected,. They could choose any neckline, any length, sleeve, etc. All the bridesmaids chose long gowns, but each in a different style. I worked with each girl's personal preference in style of jewelry and designed each piece to complement the girl's features as well as the neckline of the dress. I designed the junior bridesmaid and the flower girls' jewelry to complement the other pieces but in a smaller, more delicate style. The flower girls wore pomegranate satin dresses, and for these little ones I made dainty necklaces of cream rice pearls with chocolate, hydrangea green, and pomegranate pearls and crystals in the center. The junior bridesmaid's necklace was a cross between the bridesmaids' necklaces and the flower girls'. It featured the cream rice pearls of the flower girls' necklaces and the silver, pearls, crystals and gemstone of the bridesmaids. I made earrings for all attendants in designs created according to their individual preferences as well as to complement their necklaces. The bride presented the jewelry to her attendants a couple of weeks before the wedding so that if any adjustments needed to be made I would have plenty of time. The girls all loved their jewelry, everything fit perfectly, just as if I had measured and fit it to them as I made it. They were thrilled to have gorgeous gowns with handmade designer jewelry in a practical style that they would wear again and again.
I thoroughly enjoy the creative process of designing bridal attendant jewelry, especially with a bride who loves color. This bride had great taste and was very easy to work with. We met one time to discuss her wedding colors, budget, and her likes and dislikes in jewelry styles. I then sourced all kinds of fabulous beads in her colors, sketched some rough ideas and met with her again. She brought pictures of the dresses each girl had chosen and I asked her to get me a picture of each attendant as well as her height, coloring, and build. She provided that information and then I created unique desigs for each bridesmaid, the junior bridesmaid, and both flower girls. We met once more when I was midway through the production, to show her what I had done so far and make sure we were on the same page. We definitely were; she was ecstatic. I then completed the designs, showed them to her one final time, and then gift wrapped them for her to present to them that weekend. I was extremely happy with what I had created, and was absolutely thrilled with each design.. So was the bride, and that's what mattered the most!
